Gatlinburg weddings have been popular for a long time, but more and more people are looking beyond chapels in Gatlinburg for a more scenic and memorable option.

In fact, we’ve had so many people twist our arms and talk us into having their wedding at Moon Shadow Lodge that we finally decided to create a web page for Smokey Mountain weddings in Tennessee. Outdoors weddings in the Smoky Mountains actually work out perfect if you are willing to rent a tent or two, along with tables and chairs. Several rental companies in Knoxville will even deliver in Townsend.

The cost of the reservation depends upon the size of your wedding party, ranging from $1,900 to $2,500. Renting Moon Shadow Lodge is quite affordable, especially since you get it not only for the wedding but also for guest accommodations and the rehearsal dinner. The wedding party can even spend the weekend at the lodge!

In preparation for our daughter’s wedding at Moon Shadow in May 2010, we made a lot of enhancements to the grounds and facilities, and all the future brides and grooms reap the benefits. Now you can have a Smokey Mountain wedding like no other!
